Common Washer Problems in Colorado Springs
Most washing machine failures announce themselves in one of a handful of ways. The machine won't spin, won't drain, won't start, leaks, gets loud, won't fill, won't agitate, or puts a code on the display.

Symptoms overlap more than people expect
A washer that won't spin is very often a washer that won't drain, because machines refuse to spin at high speed with water in the tub. A door that won't unlock is frequently the same problem wearing a different face.
That is why guessing from a symptom is unreliable. The visible behavior is the machine's response to a condition, not a description of the broken part.
What you can check safely
There are a few things worth trying before booking, and none of them require tools.
- Confirm both water supply valves behind the machine are fully open
- Check the drain hose for kinks and that it isn't pushed too far into the standpipe
- Redistribute the load by hand and run a drain and spin cycle
- Verify the machine is level and sitting solidly on all four feet
- Unplug the washer for a minute to clear a transient control state
- Write down any error code exactly as it appears
When to stop using the machine
Stop running a washer that is leaking, that smells of burning, or that is making a grinding noise that wasn't there before. Continuing risks water damage, electrical hazards, and turning a contained repair into a much larger one.
